Angelo e Arcangela Restaurant and B&B

Angelo e ArcangelaThe climate and rugged terrain of northern Sardinia, Italy, makes it a paradise for mushroom lovers. This is an especially rich area for a huge variety of fungi, and mushroom dishes are a speciality for Angelo & Arcangela in the autumn. During the mushroom season, Chef-patron Angelo Antonaglia leads mushroom forages for those who would like to learn to identify, prepare and taste the some of varieties which grow in the mountains and woods of the Gallura region.

A typical day would start with a trip to the hidden woods of Gallura to collect mushrooms, returning to Angelo & Arcangela to sort and identify the various types. After a light lunch, guests can learn to clean and prepare their mushrooms, then prepare various dishes. A break to relax before dinner, then the opportunity to eat the fruits of the day’s labours. Visit their Website for more information about cookery courses and mushroom trips. Cookery courses run during September, October, November, December, March and April and prices vary by date, duration and number of participants.
