California Mushroom Walk

On Sunday, 26 November from 10 a.m. to noon, the Redwood Valley Outdoor Education Project (RVOEP) will host a Fall Mushroom Walk and Workshop led by local mushroom expert Mark Albert in Ukiah, California. With Albert as a guide, participants will have the opportunity to explore the mixed woodlands at the RVOEP to see what is up in late November. Come learn about the essential role that fungus play in an Oak Woodland ecosystem and meet some of our local mushrooms. This workshop is free, but donations will benefit the RVOEP. The RVOEP is a community-supported project of the Ukiah Unified School District and provides outdoor environmental education programs to over 2000 students each year. Pre-registration is not required. The RVOEP is located at 8301 Pinecrest Drive in Redwood Valley. Pinecrest Drive begins directly across from the Redwood Valley Elementary School. For more information, call 743-2065. Stormy weather will require canceling this workshop.
