Deadly Fungus Video Makes Rounds
No, this doesn’t have anything to do with The Ring. It’s about a video shot for a David Attenborough documentary, Planet Earth episode 8. If you’ve just eaten dinner, don’t watch. You’re about to see specialized fungi that infects an insect. The insect eventually collapses and the fungi grows from the insect and releases spores to reproduce and infect more insects. Ants seem to have it figure out and dump infected ants elsewhere (presumably safely away from any colony).
