The Australasian Mycological Society will host the Eighth International Mycological Congress (IMC8) of the International Mycological Association from 21–26 August 2006 in Cairns, Australia. If you haven’t been to Australia and if you’d love to attend the biggest mycology meeting ever held in Australia, then make your plans to attend now. This will be the perfect forum for the sharing of information on all aspects of mycology and foster constructive interaction between participants from all over the world. Additionally, IMC8 will be the first ever International Mycological Congress held in the Southern Hemisphere. An estimated 800 Mycologists from around the world will attend this event, including students, researchers, academics, practitioners, industry representatives and all those who deal with fungi to present and discuss their latest results with their international peers.
