Fungi Face and Walks in the Woods

Image if you were traipsing through the woods one day and came upon something like this? Well, I wasn’t traipsing through any woods, but in my Internet searches for fungi and fun I run across constant potential. This mushroom, sans facial expression, was discovered at the bigbluemeanie site, where you can read about author Emma Townshend’s take as she takes a walk in the woods with Justin Ruddle, the national Trust warden of Slindon Woods (West Sussex), as part of a National Trust off-season activity.
