Morel Love Song
Morels by Michael Kuo has to be one of the most beautiful mushroom books I’ve seen. Since Nancy Smith Weber’s morel book is out of print and Larry Lonik’s books are slim and illustrated mostly with drawings and sketches, this book really fills the morel void. Outside the luscious photographs, Kuo writes about the morel hunter with wit, and about the morel and its habitats with authority. If you buy any one morel book to satisfy your morel lust ’til next season, this is it. University of Michigan Press: 21 Sept 2005
