Ralph Metzner Speaks
Ralph Metzner will speak at the Fungus Federation of Santa Cruz’s general meeting on 15 November at 7 pm at the Harvey West Scout House. The following comes from the FFSC’s Website, where you can find more information:
“Ralph Metzner is an American writer and researcher, who cowrote books on LSD with Timothy Leary. Dr. Metzner is currently a psychotherapist, and a professor of psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where he was formerly the President. He is a co-founder and is the President of the Green Earth Foundation, a non-profit educational organization devoted to healing and harmonizing the relationship between humans and the Earth. He has been a presenter at both the Starwood Festival and the WinterStar Symposium, sponsored by the Association for Consciousness Exploration[1]. He has been involved in consciousness research, including psychedelics, Yoga, meditation and Shamanism for over 35 years. He is now concentrating on developing the foundations of ecological consciousness or Green Psychology.”
Metzner is the author of Sacred Mushroom of Visions: Teonanácatl: A Sourcebook on the Psilocybin Mushroom as well as Green Psychology: Transforming our Relationship to the Earth.
