DR. S. K. Jand, Dean, Post Graduate Studies, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), has been bestowed upon ‘Fellow of Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology and Biotechnology (ISVIB),’ on 15th February at the 13th National Convention of Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology and Biotechnology (ISVIB) held at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pookat, Kerala, for his achievements in the field of Veterinary Immunology and Biotechnology.
He has been instrumental in establishing a Molecular Laboratory and also Mycology and Mycotoxin Laboratory in GADVASU, for quick and confirmative diagnosis of bacterial and viral diseases of economic importance in livestock and poultry which has benefited the livestock and poultry farmers of North India. The technology developed was a boon to the economy of poultry industry by way of check on mycotoxin diseases and reducing losses there upon. Further he has been associated with Aflatoxin Check Sample Survey Programme of International Agency for Research on Cancer (WHO).
