Morel Mania Announces Dates

Ok Magnolia morel heads - time to gear up for the Illinois State Morel Mushroom Hunting Championship! Dates for this year are 4-6 May. Friday afternoon and evening will feature food, entertainment, and craft show. Saturday will be the Championship contest, morel auction, craft show, entertainment, etc. Sunday will be entertainment, a guided morel hunt, morel market. and cooking demonstrations. New information will be posted by March 15 at Morel Mania. So bookmark this page and check back in two weeks or so. Tom says that this should be a great year for morels in that area because they’ve had a lot of elms die from the 2005 drought…
