Forays in Ecuador
The Ecuadorian Mycological Society and the Amazon Mycorenewal Project are offering two trips in July 2008 to explore the mushrooms of various regions. From July 5-18, you can explore the coast, the Andes, and the Galapagos with Ecuador’s leading mycologists. The July 21-28 trip will explore the cloud forests.
The trips are intended to be fundraisers for the Amazon Mycorenewal Project. This group is studying techniques by which mushrooms can be used to clean up oil spills. For more details, email Jess at jesswork@gmail.com.
