Morel Madness 2008
The Missouri Mycological Society will celebrate the morel this spring with Morel Madness 2008 from April 25th to 27th. The primary purpose of this gathering will be to hunt the delicious morel. The group will gather and camp out at Mark Twain Lake State Park, near Stoutsville, Missouri. Hunters are required to bring a mesh bag for collecting and a compass. Both can be purchased from the society. The very low cost of attending is $5 for a day and $5 additional for each night. Nonmembers of the society are welcome, but must pay and additional $15. Breakfast will be provided, lunch is on your own, and dinner is potluck. Volunteers are needed to asist with dinner and clean up. More information is available at the society’s website.
